Crazy for You

Crazy for You

Review

CRAZY for You follows the predictable boy meets girl, girl spurns boy, boy and girl nearly lose each other, boy and girl embrace and everyone cheers or nods sagely.

Despite the familiar pattern, the Gershwins' show is littered with humour, which the company brought out with a comic sense of timing and focus, especially from the ensemble, who never missed an opportunity to amuse with their antics.

Bobby (Sam Gregory) and Polly (Natalie Baker) were an endearing pair and well matched vocally.

Polly visibly moved the audience with her rendition of Someone to Watch Over Me.

The choreography was good (Kerry Redding and Claire Whittall), with lots of tap and interesting moves.
